LaMoure farmers are state winners in National Corn Yield Contest - Jamestown Sun

The National Corn Yield Contest, sponsored annually by the National Corn Growers Association, recognizes farmers from across the country for their efforts and exceptional results. Although the past year posed numerous tests for all sectors of the American public, farmers continued to drive agricultural production. Three LaMoure, N.D., farmers were state winners in the contest.

Bobby Frauenberg placed first in the state in the G:No‐Till Irrigated Class Class with a yield of 276.86 bushels per acre. The hybrid used in the winning field was DEKALB DKC44‐80RIB.

James Frauenberg placed first in the state in the H:Strip‐Till, Minimum‐Till, Mulch‐ Till, Ridge‐Till Irrigated Class Class with a yield of 286.56 bushels per acre. The hybrid used in the winning field was DEKALB DKC45‐66RIB. Cody Frauenberg placed first in the state in the I:Conventional Irrigated Class Class with a yield of 280.17 bushels per acre. The hybrid used in the winning field was DEKALB DKC42‐05RIB.
