The Columbus Dispatch

Wine: 2019 Cotes du Rhone red from Domaine de Servans

Price: $12.99

Availability: House Wine, Twisted Vine, Hills Market (Worthington), Meza Wine Shop, Hausfrau Haven, Chateau Wine & Spirits, Aficionado’s, and Giant Eagle Market District (Grandview Yard and Kingsdale locations)

Aroma: heady scent of dried mushroom, dark cherry, wild herbs

Flavor: full in the mouth, with bramble and ripe stone fruit; balanced finish

Notes: An impressive value, as the price for this estate-bottled Rhone red has not changed for several years; made from organic grapes (50% syrah, 50% grenache). Think lamb and other red meats, aged cheese, and tomato-centric sauces. Drinkable now, and will gain from any additional aging.
