Q • I planted grape hyacinths last autumn, and they bloomed this past spring. Now I see their leaves starting to grow again in my flower bed. Does that mean they will bloom again this fall?
A • It’s not unusual for established grape hyacinth (Muscari) foliage to begin to grow in the fall. The leaves will remain over winter and resume growth in spring, but the flowers will not emerge until their normal flowering time next spring.

Every week, we feature a St. Louis-area home to showcase, usually because of its great style; but sometimes, just being quirky earns it the distinction.
