Roger K. Grape, 90, of West Pleasant Street, Corry, Pa., passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Takoma Park, Md., a son of the late Knute and Leah Love Grape.

As a young boy, Roger and his family moved to Corry and he attended the Corry Area Schools. Roger enlisted into the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War, he was stationed in Tokyo. After his Honorable Discharge he returned to Corry. Roger worked for Corry Jamestown Corporation for 38 years where he was a stock room foreman. After his retirement, Roger worked as a security guard for Foamex. On Nov. 10, 2017, Roger was honored by the Corry Area School District with his high school diploma.

Roger was a member of the Corry Moose Lodge 98, Corry Central Labor Club and the Corry VFW Post 264. He also belonged to the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club in Lakewood, N.Y.

Roger was a Boy Scout Leader, loved Model A Fords and enjoyed going to the clubs with his children Linda and Jeff.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by four sisters, Ina McBain, Alma Cooper, Helene Vanstee and Esther Dugo; and by two brothers, Elmer and Harry Grape.

Roger is survived by his wife Barbara Bloss Grape whom he married on Dec. 21, 1951, in Corry, Pa.; two daughters, Laurel Grainger and her husband Hugh of Orange Park, Fla., and Linda Allen and her fiancé Mark Roberts of Clymer, N.Y.; four sons, Roger Grape and his wife Karen of Englewood, Fla., David Grape and his wife Karen of Brighton, Tenn., John Grape of North Carolina and Jeffrey Grape of Corry, Pa.; and a sister, Jeanne Gabriel of California.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Eddie, Patrick, Katie, Shane, Shawn, Leah, Ashley, Sarah and Josh; and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday, April 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service there at noon. The Rev. Brian Eiss will officiate.

Due to CDC regulations, face masks and social distancing will be required.

The service may also be viewed on the Bracken Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at noon.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
