Campos Borquez, a supplier of year-round organic and regenerative super foods, expects a strong grape season this summer that will kick-start early from its unique region in Obregon.
Driven by accountability to the land, soil and partners, Campos Borquez’s practices highlight its commitment to long-term relationships based on trust, transparency and loyalty. Through social and environmental diversification, including the new farm location, Campos Borquez is positioned for a strong green and red grape season.
“Obregon's southern region gives us the conditions to start production very early in the season,” said Sergio Borquez, executive vice-president of Campos Borquez. “While we acknowledge that cooler temperatures in March have resulted in a three to four-day delay, we will start production of Early Sweet from Obregon on May 12 and are on track to ship close to half a million cartons of this variety by the end of the month.”

On the heels of green grapes, production for red grapes will begin on May 19 with above average volumes expected by the end of May.
“We anticipate having 80 percent of our volume packed by the beginning of June,” added Borquez. “It’s showing to be a concentrated season with excellent quality-- bunch structure looks as good as we have seen and the fruit is sizing up beautifully.”
Campos Borquez plans on distributing 1.3 million grape cartons from both the Obregon and Caborca farm locations during the 2021 season.
