Chile’s grape industry association Uvanova estimates $600 million worth of loss to the table grape industry due to heavy, unseasonal rains in southern-central regions during the weekend of Jan. 30, FreshFruitPortal.com reported. The affected regions, which supply around 60 million boxes of grapes, have lost 45% to 80% of the crops due to the heavy rainfall.
